Accessible Sensory Spaces for SEND Schools & Home Settings

Our team have over 40 years combined experience facilitating play for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We design and build unique structures that are fully inclusive and accessible, creating stimulating play spaces that respond to the sensory needs of your learners.

Sensory and Relaxation Spaces

We design and build indoor and outdoor sensory spaces that are engaging, thoughtful and accessible. Our custom-built multi-sensory spaces incorporate a range of colours, textures, sounds and activities created to support the sensory needs and development of children and young people.

Our sensory spaces can be exciting and challenging, or we can create sensory-focused environments that provide a calming place for relaxation and therapeutic activities.

Music Play

Music has long played a role in SEND education because of the multiple benefits that music can bring to young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Our music play spaces are tailored to each school’s needs and can include a wide range of fixed or movable musical equipment.

Water Play

A water wall is a fantastic addition to any outdoor space, providing hours of fun and a multitude of development and learning opportunities. Water can energize, but it can also calm. Our water play structures can be built for any size and space and incorporate a wide range of materials to maximise the full benefits of water play.

Sand Play

Playing with sand is a great way for children with special educational needs and disabilities to enjoy a rich sensory experience. Sand play is excellent for developing fine motor skills as well as encouraging imagination and exploration. It can also be a calming sensory-focused activity. Our sandpits can be made accessible in a variety of ways such as incorporating a ‘tinkering’ worktop on the side of a raised sandpit.
